1. Acceptance of Terms

1.1 Binding Agreement

By registering, accessing, or using Olanur Legal Buddy (hereinafter referred to as the "Platform"), you ("User," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (the "Terms"). If you do not agree to all the Terms, you are not permitted to use the Platform.

1.2 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract to use the Platform. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

2. Description of Services

2.1 AI-Driven Legal Services Hub

Olanur Legal Buddy provides access to AI-powered tools designed to streamline and simplify legal processes, including but not limited to:

  • Document Management
  • Document Summarizing
  • Legal Assistant Chat
  • Lawyer-Finding & Matching Services

2.2 No Attorney-Client Relationship Through the Platform

The Platform is a technology tool. Any interaction through AI features, chatbots, or posted content does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Olanur Legal Buddy. If you choose to hire a lawyer through the Platform, your relationship (including attorney-client privileges) is solely with that lawyer and governed by their engagement letter or separate contractual terms. Olanur Legal Buddy is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.

2.3 Accuracy of Information

While we strive to ensure that the AI-driven services (e.g., legal assistant chat, document summarizing) provide helpful and up-to-date information, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any information or documents generated. You should consult a qualified attorney for legal advice specific to your situation.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To access certain features, you may be required to create a user account. You agree to:

  • Provide true, accurate, current, and complete information about yourself.
  • Maintain and promptly update this information to keep it accurate and complete.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to immediately notify Olanur Legal Buddy of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.

3.3 Multiple Accounts Prohibited

You may not create multiple user accounts to circumvent restrictions or for any deceptive purpose. We reserve the right to terminate any accounts we believe to be duplicated or created for improper purposes.

4. Lawyer-Finding & Matching Services

4.1 Platform Role

Olanur Legal Buddy may help match you with licensed lawyers based on your stated preferences. Olanur Legal Buddy does not endorse or recommend any specific lawyer, nor does Olanur Legal Buddy guarantee the competence, quality, or reliability of any lawyer listed.

4.2 Independent Lawyers

Lawyers using the Platform are independent professionals. They are not employees or agents of Olanur Legal Buddy. It is your responsibility to review and negotiate the terms of any engagement with a lawyer and to ensure they have the necessary credentials and experience for your legal matter.

4.3 No Liability for Legal Services

You agree that Olanur Legal Buddy is not liable for any acts, omissions, or services provided by any lawyer with whom you may connect through the Platform.

5. Use of AI-Driven Features

5.1 Nature of AI Services

Our AI tools (e.g., document management, document summarizing, legal chat assistant) are intended to assist you in your legal tasks but are not a substitute for professional legal advice.

5.2 User Responsibility

You acknowledge that you are responsible for verifying the accuracy of AI-generated responses, summaries, or suggestions before relying on them. You should consult a qualified attorney for verification and guidance.

5.3 Limitations

You agree that Olanur Legal Buddy does not guarantee the AI's accuracy or usefulness, and that errors or omissions may occur. Olanur Legal Buddy disclaims all liability for any damage arising from reliance on these AI-driven features.

6. User Content

6.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of any documents, text, images, or other materials ("User Content") you upload to the Platform. However, by uploading User Content, you grant Olanur Legal Buddy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display the User Content for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform.

6.2 Prohibited Content

You agree not to upload any content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, obscene, harassing, or infringing upon the rights of others. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or applicable laws.

6.3 Data Privacy

Our handling of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. By using the Platform, you agree to the collection, storage, and use of data as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Fees and Payments

7.1 Platform Fees

Certain features or services may require payment of fees to Olanur Legal Buddy. All applicable fees will be disclosed prior to your incurring them. You agree to pay all fees associated with your use of the Platform.

7.2 Third-Party Fees

If you engage a lawyer through the Platform, you may be charged professional fees directly by the lawyer. Olanur Legal Buddy is not responsible for any dispute or issue related to these fees.

7.3 Payment Method

You must provide a valid payment method (e.g., credit card) if required for any fee-based services. You authorize Olanur Legal Buddy to charge your payment method for any fees due.

7.4 Refunds

Any request for refunds related to fees paid to Olanur Legal Buddy is subject to our Refund Policy, which will be separately provided or outlined on the Platform. Fees paid directly to lawyers are governed by their individual refund or billing policies.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Platform Intellectual Property

All technology, software, trademarks, logos, text, and design elements on the Platform (excluding User Content) are owned by or licensed to Olanur Legal Buddy. You are granted a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use the Platform solely for lawful purposes. You may not reproduce, modify, create derivative works, or publicly display any content without our express written permission.

8.2 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas regarding the Platform, you grant Olanur Legal Buddy an unrestricted, worldwide, royalty-free license to use such feedback for any purpose without any obligation to you.

9. Disclaimers

9.1 No Legal Advice

Olanur Legal Buddy and its AI-driven services do not constitute legal advice or legal services. Content generated by the Platform, whether by AI or human contributors, is provided for informational purposes only.

9.2 No Warranties

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Olanur Legal Buddy disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9.3 Availability and Accuracy

Olanur Legal Buddy does not guarantee that the Platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or that any information provided is accurate, complete, or useful. Use the Platform at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 Exclusion of Certain Damages

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Olanur Legal Buddy, its directors, employees, partners, affiliates, and suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from your use (or inability to use) the Platform.

10.2 Cap on Liability

In no event shall Olanur Legal Buddy's total liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with these Terms exceed the amounts paid by you to Olanur Legal Buddy for use of the Platform in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the liability.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Olanur Legal Buddy, its affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any third-party claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:

  • Your use or misuse of the Platform.
  • Your violation of these Terms.
  • Your violation of any law or the rights of a third party (including intellectual property rights).
  • Any disputes you may have with lawyers or other users.

12. Termination

12.1 Termination by User

You may delete your account and cease using the Platform at any time.

12.2 Termination by Olanur Legal Buddy

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account or access to the Platform, at any time and without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for any other reason we deem appropriate.

12.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, all licenses and rights granted to you in these Terms will immediately cease. However, any accrued rights and obligations (including payment obligations) and all provisions related to liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution shall survive termination.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

13.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

13.2 Arbitration

Any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be settled by binding arbitration administered by Canadian Courts in accordance with its rules. Judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator(s) may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof.

13.3 Injunctive Relief

Nothing in this Section shall prevent either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent or restrain the breach of any obligations hereunder.

14. Modifications to Terms

14.1 Right to Modify

We may revise or update these Terms from time to time in our sole discretion. If we make material changes, we will provide notice, such as posting a notice on the Platform or sending you an email.

14.2 Acceptance of Modified Terms

Your continued use of the Platform after any such modification constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you should stop using the Platform immediately.

15. Miscellaneous

15.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other legal notices published by Olanur Legal Buddy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Olanur Legal Buddy regarding the Platform.

15.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be deemed severable from these Terms and will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

15.3 No Waiver

No waiver by Olanur Legal Buddy of any breach of these Terms shall be a waiver of any subsequent breach. Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver.

15.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer any rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may freely assign or transfer these Terms in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
